  • Generous annual leave allowances - excess of 4 weeks per year
  • Monday - Friday role - with only 5 weekends required per year

The Role:

Will see you work in a hands on role as per the daily roster (early shift 6am start or late shift 11am star), ensuring that requests from the
Food Services Manager, Assistant Catering Manager and Chef Supervisor are
followed, and that Senior Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Assistants complete the allocated tasks and duties to a high standard.

You will produce meals in accordance with the weekly rotational menus to an excellent standard, serve the meals at the allocated times and produce meals for functions and dinners as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Cook all meals, morning/afternoon teams, special meal requests for shifts allocated
  • Organise the setup and service of meals whilst on shift
  • Provide training of any kitchen staff involved in food preparation
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen and food hygiene
  • Be professional and courteous to all team members
What you will bring to the role:
  • Experience serving meals for up to 200 people at any one service
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to work both early and late shifts throughout the year
  • Proven leadership skills and experience
  • Fantastic communication skills - ability to communicate with your team and with the students at service time
  • Ability to understand numbers and analysis
